Houston Public Library Down town will display "Gandhi Darshan' - Glimpses of Gandhi - exhibition from Saturday, January 5, 2019 through February 1, 2019 as part of City of Houston's Mahatma Gandhi Sesquicentennial celebrations. This commemorative edition of this exhibition is published especially for the sesquicentennial by National Gandhi Museum in Delhi, Bharat, India.

The Exhibition is a collection of some characteristic photographs of Mahatma Gandhi prepared by National Gandhi Museum in New Delhi, Bharat (India). It was donated to Mahatma Gandhi Library Houston in 2006 by then Consul General of Bharat (India) Shri Skand Tayal. Gandhiji is a great figure, respected and worshipped all over the world. He was born in Gujarat, but the whole world became the realm of his action. These pictures show some of the principal and significant facets of his personality; a unique reference from his childhood, his studies in England, his activities in South Africa, his struggle for Indian independence and incidents involving many leaders.
