As part of the yearlong Gandhi sesquicentennial celebrations, The Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute at is partnering with the Mahatma Gandhi Library Houston to offer a program on Mahatma Gandhi and his core values of peace, truth, nonviolence, communal harmony, simple living, love, and service. These are eternal values for the well-being of society. Join us and reflect on how to apply these principles in our everyday lives.

Presenter Bio :

Alejandro Chaoul, PhD, a senior teacher at The 3 Doors, has been a student of Tibetan Buddhism since 1989, studying with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. He is an assistant professor and director of education at MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Integrative Medicine Program, where he teaches Tibetan meditation to cancer patients, their families and caregivers, and researches the effects of Tibetan mind-body practices with cancer patients. Alejandro was recently named a fellow of the Mind and Life Institute. He is the founder and director of The Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute. Atul Kothari is a CPA and a trustee of the Gandhi Library, which hosts Mahatma Gandhi Week, a celebration of Gandhi’s birthday that includes the 1,000 Lights for Peace March. Mr. Kothari has been instrumental in bringing the Eternal Gandhi Museum to Houston. He holds an MBA as well as a B. Tech. and MS in Chemical Engineer
